#37 - Summer Time

Summer Time --- There is really no seasonal changes here in Cambodia, except dry and wet season. But it is the time of year Gryphon and Joelle are off school for month and a half. We are very thankful to have a good school and great teachers; it allows us to focus on our ministry work and other matters. While the kids are very busy with their summer school and toys, we are very busy working with the young dormitory leader (Abednego) to prepare our new direction of our ministry - the discipleship and dormitory ministry.

Please pray for our upcoming trip to Hong Kong. We will be in Hong Kong for 2 weeks from July 19 to Aug 2. Thank you God that we have this opportunity to share with those who will be in Hong Kong. Our kids are super excited and so do their grandparents !!!. When our kids enjoy their star-treatment by their Grannies, we will be sharing the new ministry plan to our brothers and sisters during our trip to Hong Kong. If you are in Hong Kong and want to know more about our ministry and our lives in Cambodia, please contact us or visit us at Clearwater Bay International Baptist Church on July 20, 2014 Sunday 11:00am.

We also had a good fellowship with the youth from the dormitory at our home yesterday evening. After singing, sharing, and dinner, we played Pictionary and Jenga (tower block game)!!! Thank you God that we all had a great time! Please continue to pray for our ministry and God to continue guide us in sharing His love and His truth with these youth.

See you all soon in Hong Kong (if you are there!)

Reading the Pictionary clue (Joelle is actually standing in the middle of the photo!)

Game of Pictionary - Reading out the theme of the word card
The "Pictionists" reading the word card

Pictionists getting ready to draw the word for their partners.
Pranna (Left - purple shirt) came to Phnom Penh 2 months ago and he is studying a short course
in cellphone repair, hoping to get a cellphone related job. He has very very little English
but he drew the clue very well and his partner in English major and they won the game.

Job - He chose 'Job' as his English name because of all the hardship he had as a child.
He lost both parents when he was a toddler and become an orphan until Pastor Kea (the church we are partnering with)
took him into the church when he was ten.  He wanted to be faithful to God at all times like Job in the Bible.
He is now a first year medical school student living in the dorm.

Gryphon is trying to guess what Joelle's drawing.

Playing Jenga game

The tower is falling soon!

The tower is falling......

Almost fall!
